Purpose
Rescape Now exists to connect people with last-minute opportunities for art, nature, movement, and community wellbeing.
To keep this experience safe, inclusive, and respectful for everyone, we ask every host and participant to follow the principles below.1. Shared Responsibility
Safety and trust are collective.
Each host, participant, and community partner plays a role in keeping the Rescape Now network welcoming, transparent, and genuine.Hosts commit to offering real, clearly described opportunities in safe environments.
Participants engage respectfully and follow event guidelines.
Rescape Now reviews listings, verifies hosts, and responds to any concerns or reports.
2. Host Verification
Before posting events, new hosts complete a short onboarding form to confirm:
✅ Real contact information (name, phone, and email)
✅ A short description of their initiative and location
✅ Agreement with the Wellbeing & Safety GuidelinesOnce approved, hosts can list events freely. Trusted hosts with a strong record may receive “Verified Host” status, allowing faster publishing.
3. Event Standards
Each event must:
Be accurately described (time, place, cost, accessibility).
Occur in a safe, appropriate location (studio, venue, public space, or verified private location).
Avoid misleading claims or activities outside Rescape Now’s mission (no medical or financial promises).
State any physical requirements or risks clearly.
Respect cultural and community protocols, including Indigenous teachings and permissions.
4. Inclusivity & Cultural Respect
Rescape Now celebrates the diversity of British Columbia’s communities.
We welcome events and hosts of all backgrounds and traditions, provided they:Promote inclusion and wellbeing for all participants.
Honour Indigenous sovereignty, teachings, and cultural practices.
Avoid discrimination or harmful representations.
5. Participant Safety & Transparency
Participants can expect:
Visible host information and contact details.
Clear pricing and no surprise costs.
Public spaces or well-identified private venues.
A simple “Report this listing” option to flag issues.
6. Moderation & Response
All new events are reviewed before going public.
Suspicious or incomplete listings are paused until verified.
Reports are investigated within 24–48 hours.
Repeat violations or safety concerns lead to removal from the platform.
7. Our Promise

1. Step 1 ̶ Read the Safety & Trust Framework
Before posting, please review our Safety & Trust Framework. It explains our shared values aroun safety, inclusivity, and cultural respect. Hosts agree to these principles when submitting their initiative or event.
2. Step 2 ̶ Submit Your Initiative or Event
Use our online submission form to share your initiative. You can post regular ongoing projects or last-minute open spots through Rescape Now. Include your contact information, location, accessibility notes, and pricing details.
3. Step 3 ̶ Review & Approval
All new listings are reviewed before publication. We may contact you to confirm details or clarify accessibility information. Approved hosts are featured on our wellbeing map and may receive Verified Host status.
4. Step 4 ̶ Managing Your Listings
Once approved, you can update your information anytime or request edits via email. Trusted hosts can post directly for quicker visibility. Expired or completed events are automatically archived to keep listings current.
5. Step 5 ̶ Engage & Share
Encourage your community to explore other initiatives on Rescape BC! Share your listing link, invite feedback, and contribute to the collective wellbeing network.
